After a long time I decided to start another contest, which will be about my L.A. Noire based story 'Dark Paradise'.

There will be a lot of freedom concerning creativity and it is not necessary, to have any basic knowledge on either the game or my story. I will give some plot and character information, but the rest will be actually up to you.

So if you're interested, keep reading! I'd be glad if you gave it a go!

► Topic

If you've been watching my deviations lately, you probably already know the main characters of the story – Antony and Haley.
There are two topics you can choose from!! Read carefully!

(1) I'd like you to read the given background information on their character sheets carefully, since the first theme of this contest will be ‚Draw/Write a scene of ‚Dark Paradise' – simple as that.

Since there is only a small part of their story written on the sheets, you are either asked to draw/write a scene that is mentioned in the written part (directly or indirectly) or one, that you think could happen in the part that was not mentioned. Let your creativity run free, I want to see your ideas!

(2) If the first topic doesn't appeal to you, you can still choose the second one, which consists of 'Draw a Cover Art for the story'. That actually tells it all - design a cover which you think suits the story. In this case it is preferred, that you keep the spirit of the term 'noir'.

►Things that are important

• Keep the spirit of the 1940's (i.e. clothing, cars, etc. )

• Let your entry tell its story!

• Do not twist the character's personalities in an extremely way (E.g. Characters wanting to kill eachother, keep on hating on eachother, etc.)

►Rules

• No sketches!

• NO porn/gore/splatter/fetish art

• It is allowed to include new characters, as long as they fit into the time period and look, behave in an appropriate way (i.e. No Furries, Cyborgs, etc....)

• Changing the character's clothes is allowed (Even preferred!)

• It is allowed to send in more than 1 entry

• Black & White is allowed (Color is preferred though)

Some information worth knowing

► Haley

• Smokes a lot (Only with cigarette holder)

• Always has a very graceful, elegant way to her when being in public

• Acts quite self confident

• Can't dance, yet she wishes she could

• Always wears black silk gloves

• personalitywise, she's snappy and self-determined, but also quite vulnerable, she doesn't want anyone to know that though

► Antony

• Is able to speak Italian due to his decent

• Has scars on his left cheek and forehead

• Is a workaholic and is quite devoted to his job

• Hates being asked about his time as a soldier

• Personalitywise, he's polite and charming, but pretty serious concerning things dealing with his job. He's self-determined, righteous and protective. Also sportive from time to time.
